This is an absolutely lovely and detailed carving of Blessed mother Mary, From Bethlehem Olivewood, who is in a seated position and has the appearance that she is receiving a blessing from God. The sculptor really did an excellent job in capturing her facial expression, which shows her serenity and compassion. Fine details such as the folds in her gown were also carved very accurately.
